This is an OE Denso upstream/primary oxygen sensor (wideband air/fuel sensor) for KTuner applications. Use as a factory replacement or on K swap applications that are using a KTuner ECU setup.
When using this with the 2002 application will i need to get a new female end connector or will it be a direct plug and play?

Yes, you will need this primary sensor or an equivalent. Many KTuner compatible vehicles already have an equivalent primary sensor to this one from the factory..
