- Rev Limit - A limit on engine RPM used to protect the engine. The Rev limit should be set to a safe RPM in order to protect the engine from damage. The Rev limit is typically achieved by cutting fuel to the engine, cutting ignition, or both.
- Throttle Tip-in - When the throttle pedal is abruptly pressed down, the engine will require additional fuel in order to prevent hesitation or bogging down for a brief moment when the throttle pedal is pressed. This additional fuel applied for this brief moment is referred to as "tip-in fuel".
